Day 1 of STC study for SIE - Exam scheduled for July 7th

Day started off as usual, woke up around 6am, did some last minute cramming for the life/health exam and then logged in at 7:30 to check-in. I'm lucky I was early (exam scheduled for 8 am) as my first two checkins did not work. I had to go through the entire proctor process three different times because the exam would not start on my Mac. After the third try they had me reboot and then it worked.

The exam was about what I expected. It was broken down into two sections and I had 75 minutes, I think I finished in about 20 minutes. The pre-licensing course that I took had covered all of this extensively so there wasn't much too it. I'm glad that is over and now I'm on to the SIE exam. This will be much more difficult. My pace is structured so that I'll finish the STC study portion on July 4th and I've scheduled the exam for the following Monday July 7th.

I've only finished the first hour of study today but it was an in-depth look at the markets, who's in the market and a lot of details around that. So far I really like the info and the materials. We will see how it is after 40+ hours😄
